South Park

Seasons 1-6: early, peak kino
Seasons 7-19: south park as people now see it, mostly good seasons, though season 13 sucked
Season 20 to present: weak ass shit

South Park didn't change, it's always been contemporary satire. You changed.

I noticed people only really started trashing SP once they started taking (incredibly mild) shots at Daddy Donald. I'm sure it's 100% coincidental and not entirely Conservative butthurt from people who believed "South Park Republican" was an actual thing.

Season 20 sucking had nothing to do with trump tbf. I think Season 20 was just full of weak episodes, kind of like 13 was.

South Park was rarely about "the issues," that only became an "every episode" kind of thing around season 6 or so

i miss cartman's old voice

When Randy became the main character, it went to shit. And 'Tegridy Farms.

once they stopped acting and responding to things like children, the show was over

The Korn episode was 10/10

I'd argue the shift happened at season 4, not season 7

the first 2 seasons are terrible and 3 isn't very good

The first three season the boys were like children using language they didn't really understand. It was kind of innocent though still vulgar. Season three through six were the last truly great seasons in my opinion, though season seven through ten touched on a lot of pop culture and current events. After that it's kind of mix bag of good and just ok shows. But I would agree that season 20 was when things went downhill. Matt and Trey joked before that season began that they wouldn't even try anymore because they want the show to be cancelled.

For some reason Trey couldn't admit that the voice was altered through production to sound the way it does. He would give lame excuses about being tired of doing Cartman's voice to avoid doing it on the spot.

maybe now that they got rid of tegridy farms, it'll get better

s6-s11 was the narrow watchable run when it had a good budget and writing but didn't take itself too seriously
notice the topic of episodes were
>cartman is a robot
>michael jackson
>imaginationland
etc instead of thinking it's the voice of reason.

imaginationland was actively unfunny though
south park never needed a good budget, just vulgarity and mocking a random celebrity, which it did in season 1-3

>Seasons 7-19: south park as people see it now; mostly good seasons
I disagree.
Seasons 7-9 should get lumped with seasons 1-6, while seasons 10-17 are where it drops in quality, but it's still good. Season 18-22 is the decline. It's quickly getting worse and it's becoming less and less about the boys overtime. Season 23-present the collapse; The Boys are now irrelevant, outside of Cartman, Randy has become the main character and jokes are now reddit-tier.

Seasons 1-8 are the best.

old episodes are worse

Season 1-4 garb
5-10 great
10+ fun, whatever. Not great but watchable bs

It was super fun and original and high rated by fans. It's just contrarian to hate it. The "literally suck my balls" bit was dragged out tho. s1-3 were just people farting on each other and shit.
