Poltergeist is kino
all the /hor/ posters with epilepsy are now dead
Trick 'r Treat 2 never ever bros... It hurts.
There it goes:
>start reading Barker's Books of Blood
>first story serves as an intro to where the "books" come from. it's alright.
>second story: The Midnight Meat Train
>kino about a man stuck on a train, alone with a serial killer
>see that they made a movie out of it
>third story: The Yattering and Jack
>hilarious story about a demon going insane trying to haunt a man who simply won't break
>was adapted for Tales from the Darkside
Well fuck me. I had no idea Barker's writing was so good, but clearly Hollyjews didn't. Is picrel decent? Only good poster I found, btw. The one they settled on to promote the movie was hot garbage.
How does it compare to the short story, user? If you've read it?
I find clowns legitimately funny and this movie is mostly hilarious rather than scary, aside from a couple scenes.
It's decent, worth a watch
Imagine dying from being exposed to flashing lights, lel.
Midnight meat train is worth seeing
They're with the Queen now
I remember it being alright. I started reading Barker last night, other user. It's nice that he really expanded on the beginning of Hellraiser. It makes a lot more sense why he went looking for the cenobites. Probably should've tried cute & funny first, but that wasn't his type.
>The Books of Blood confirm what horror fans everywhere have known for a long time: We will be hearing from Clive Barker for many years to come. This first volume contains the short stories : "The Book of Blood," "The Midnight Meat Train," "The Yattering and Jack," "Sex, Death, and Starshine," and "In the Hills, the Cities."
33 year old woman edition.
>TQ: Are you excited for Disney Hellraiser?
>TQ2: Did you enjoy Midnight Meat Train and would you recommend it to other user?
Thank you anons. I hope it'll be as gripping as the short story was.
Why was the poster they used so lame, though?
What's the worst horror sequel you've ever seen? I think this one is it for me.
Sinister 2
i have no idea, the one you found earlier is much better, don't know what they were thinking
It insists upon itself
To the guy asking for 2022 top 5
>La Abuela
>The Sadness
>Incantation
>The Innocents
>Black Phone
>the beginning of Hellraiser
I'll get to it after the two Books of Blood omnibuses. I'm in the mood for anthologies lately.
>Probably should've tried cute & funny first
The Yattering and Jack was genuinely hilarious to me. Good stuff.
You think so? I haven't seen that phrase used seriously in years.
You're missing two.
Some guy was asking about transformation scenes in the last thread.
Doppelganger (1993) has a pretty nasty one where the main girl turns into a twizzler worm and splits into her two halves.
>Incantation
>Discarded
I had to quit half way and I never walk out on anything. It needed better direction.
