>married skylar

One thing

>married lois

>ruined his relationship with his son because of his autistic mid life crisis crime spree
If you seriously look up to Walt you missed the point of the entire show.

he was a narcissistic retard who constantly put others in danger COPE

I dont know why

He let his addiction of holding onto resentments keep him from living a fulfilling (and crime-free) life

Vince spent the last 15 years writing about how toxic masculinity and hubris has failed the modern man and your only takeaway is "Heisenberg was le badass" kek

Well maybe he shouldn't write Walter as such a badass then

>toxic masculinity

Walt didn't have any toxic masculinity and his life was miserable before breaking bad.

he should have taken the 5 mil from the methlamine deal and got out while he was ahead

Reddit moment.

>ruins his entire family because he wanted to be le badass
>not toxic masculinity
The romanticization of crime in itself is a core tenet of toxic masculinity.

How is Walt a badass tho? He pretty much cheats and bullshits himself through everything. He is more of a weasel

he did everything wrong

Yes.

He did things that were wrong, but almost all of them were within the bounds of wrongness a normal person would engage in if they could in the same situation.

Obviously it was wrong to poison Brock. Also most people would endanger the life of a child if they felt like the likely alternative was their whole family getting murdered.

Obviously letting Jane die was wrong. Also most people would do it if they felt letting her live would definitely fuck up their plan for saving their family financially after her death.

Most men, if they felt they had an alternative the their whole family living on charity from a man they hate, would pursue that alternative first, even if illegal and dangerous if they know they're dying soon anyway. Obviously the more moral thing is that which harms nothing but his pride, but again, within normal moral bounds.

There's one exception that really sticks out to me. Killing Mike was first degree murder out of pure petty spite. Most people would not do that and its rightfully enough to get you imprisoned for decades.

I said before he broke bad, retard. He was a fully demasculinized male. The absolute most feminist take you can reasonably assign to BrBa is that an increasingly feminized society and the decline of traditional masculine outlets leads to men adopting poor behaviors out of a sense of alienation. That's still primarily a critique of demasculinity.

If anything Walt's problem pre meth dealing was that he was acting too much like a woman and not masculine enough. Holding grudges that the people he's holding it against don't remember, not verbally saying what he wants and just stewing in anger.

producing drugs is illegal and immoral.

This. Walt's initial choice to cook meth was not something a normal person would do, but almost every other action he took is just exactly what a rational person in his position would do. That's why he never really becomes irredeemable like Tony Soprano and it's why I never stopped rooting for him. He was at his core a good guy but he made one really fucking bad choice at the beginning of the show that fucked his family up forever.

>made a retarded career move
>married a retarded whore
>had a retarded child
>crafted a retarded final plan

He didn't let Jesse be killed

Yes.

Vince is a legitimate beta bitch who wrote Walt to be completely victorious and famous and wonders why people like it
