The Future Of Indiana Jones

What should Spielberg do with the franchise?
I don't really care about his elderly adventures in the 50s and 60s.
Is there some way we could go back to the 40s and 30s?

Looking back at the old novels and games, there is some great content there.

Hell. At this point they should do more 1930s and 1940s Indy stories, just do them animated. Even modern animation like Speilberg's Tin Tin would be better than old man Indy hobbling around.

I wouldn't mind something more stylized, maybe even prefer it. Something like TF2. Well, more art deco and 30s. TF2 is more 1950s style.

>What should Spielberg do with the franchise?
Copyright it to prevnt Disney from cashing in. Zemeckis did the same with Back to the Future.

>Speilberg
>not cashing in
He's not the 70s New Hollywood director he once was.

Funny. Old Lucasarts games have better animation style than most animated movies these days.

I meant they can still earn on merch and toys etc but not cashing in on movies. The same case with BttF. Universal studio is allowed to display Delorean, sell t-shirts, toys etc but they are not allowed to film any other movie. They still earn on IP but the name and image is safe from getting ruined.

Spielberg has nothing to do with IJ anymore

Spielberg was only the director
Lucas had the copyright and he sold it years ago

They should have moved on from Ford and cast someone else as Jones.
This could be a good option as well. The era is ripe.

>What should Spielberg do with the franchise?
Nothing

>What should Spielberg do with the franchise?

It really doesn't matter at this point

Bring back Shia as the new Indy.
Have Maddie Ziegler as the love interest, sort of like in Indy 1.

Never touch it again.

>Is there some way we could go back to the 40s and 30s?

Yes recast Indy and reboot.

Speaking of Tintin, why have we never got a sequel to this kino?

He's not even directing it anymore lol

Money

This is the future

Gong forward Spielberg should make the main character of the franchise a black female, Muslim lesbian in a wheelchair.

IMDB has another Tintin listed in Kathleen Kennedy’s filmography for 2027.
No clue if it will ever get made.
Peter Jackson is listed as director, and Anthony Horowitz as screenwriter.
