literally since the 70s noone has cared about this in western countries, the concern is in Africa(was china) and the rest of the developing world. Notice that all developed/nearly developed countries (ranging from Scandinavia to China) have declining birth rates, yet the world's population is on the rise (we're at 8 billion now)
if you're a racist, and don't think that blacks can be developed fully, this should be a massive concern to you if you know why populations boom.

self correcting is a bad description. This isn't some malthusian thing, populations (in the developed world) are on the decline not because of infant mortality or a lack of food, which would be a historical "correction", but because there isn't a materialistic/logical reason to have kids, let alone 3, and this likely won't change in the century, and in my schizoid opinion, will likely get worse.
