>Has no idea what that means

Sam is a classical example of Gary Stu
name 1 Gary Stu by your standards

*marty stu

The real hero of the movie trilogy.

>Sam is a classical example of Gary Stu
No he's not.

>name 1 Gary Stu by your standards
Harry Potter is a Gary Stu.

Sam is just a sidekick to Frodo. He is not respected until the end of the trilogy.

Amazon shill

This.

I think I appreciate now how genuine those movies are. No agenda or flagrantly painted motives. Just a relatively good story tightly packed into a movie. A good distraction with no horse shit.

Sam is better than Frodo in every single way, even carries the ring at Mt Doom and gives it up without issue
>Sam is incorruptible and flawless becauseā€¦ he just is ok!!

Thank you for proving my point.

Yeah it's getting really sad that this is the only angle they've got left, just tear down the movies to make this new garbage seem better by comparison. Too bad it will never work, Amazon could neve even hope to achieve a fraction of emotion or the sheer SOVL of the movies.

A rewatch made me painfully aware of how paper thin the characters all are

>Sam is better than Frodo in every single way
He isn't, being subservient to Frodo was what saved his ass.

Why is Sam happy being Frodos perfect obedient little slave?

Aragorn is the Gary Stu, along with legolas. Sam is the underdog hero.

>Sam is better than Frodo in every single way,
Wrong.
> even carries the ring at Mt Doom and gives it up without issue
Wrong. He carries the ring at Cirith Ungol for a few hours and did hesitate to give it back, meanwhile Frodo carried it for months/years.

Frodo's story is an internal struggle, the long burden of the Ring. Sam's struggle is external, dealing with Frodo. Frodo carried the most evil object in existence across half the world, he was in constant torment. It's not surprising that brainlets and normies ignore Frodo's heroism because they are incapable of genuine sympathy/empathy beyond the surface level and the obvious.

Wesley from star trek is a gary stu. Sam has a lot of flaws and his success in the tolkiens story has explanation

Frodo is the Shire's tax collector so it makes sense to befriend him.
