Why didn't GoT produce any stars despite being the biggest show in the world?

Why didn't GoT produce any stars despite being the biggest show in the world?

The same reason why actors who got their break with Star Wars can't get any roles.

Because GoT was carried by by the writing and dialogue in the first seasons, not the performance of the actors.

Yup, Harrison Ford failed miserably

Maisie was a pretty good child actor, but kinda shit by adult standards. She never improved

She had a head that could not be loved

It was a pretty good springboard for Pedro Pascal. Dude went from some nobody Chilean soap actor to being in literally everything.

He got lucky in that he played a fan favorite character from the books, played said character really well and became a fan favorite on the show too, and was only one it for a season since the character isn't around long. Others were stuck on there for years getting their characters written into the ground.

>all that glamor makeup and lighting
>still can't save her

There's already a thread up
Janny clean up duplicate threads

That isn't a GOT thread

Emilia Clarke sure did her best to capitalize on it; shame her Star Wars movie had the bad luck to follow up TLJ
Kit Harrington and whoever played Robb Stark got into the MCU as well

>he's still using that shitty excuse

This. The source material was too good to fuck up.

wasn't it the same for momoa?

Unironically Peter Dinklage, who's now set up to be Hollywood's go-to dwarf for decades.

People who have succesful careers outside of major hit shows are the exception, not the rule.

He already was before Game of Thrones. Hence, why he was cast.

Emilia Clarke got into the Star Wars and Terminator franchises, plus starring in RomComs. I think she did well.
Sophie Turner blew her shot in XMen.
Nikolai Coster-Waldau is doing great hiding his Danishness and playing average Americans (Shotcaller, Small Crimes).
And Peter Dinklage, obviously.

But both of those entries failed

Momoa got a huge boost, but he already was making the jump from Stargate Atlantis to starring as Conan.
