Yes, especially the Extended Editions.
Ironically enough, the Extended Editions feel much less bloated than the Theatrical Versions.

Also, it's still much better than RANGZ.

Hobbit "trilogy" is crap, Specially the last one.

Just rewatched the LoTR trilogy. Started on the Hobbit and turned it off after about 45 minutes. Didn't take itself seriously enough

Do not watch a fanedit if you've never seen them. Watch the EE for DoS. I also reccomend watching the EE for Battle of five armies but it goes overdrive with the silly slapstick action scenes

Well, Customs are better in the Hobbit.
Galadriel is still Galadriel in the Hobbit.
No one "Swims back to middle earth" in the Hobbit.
Character actually have mounts,
provisions and are seen actually walking to get to places.
There is no talk of "rocks that look down and boats that look up"
All dwarfs get some kind of characterization.
Elrond looks like elrond.

No, ignore them all. The 1st one is ok but it sets up disappointment by having bad sequels

People have made some fan edits of the Hobbit films that I've heard some positive things about. Nobody's ever going to manage that with Rangz.

i tried one but the final movie is unsalvageable. they need to pull a tolkien and cut that one down even further - to 5 minutes
