The Uruk Kai of the films looked really cool, and quite competent. They still get steam rolled in combat but whatever. I'd love a spin off where they establish some kind of faction and there's an uneasy peace. They could unlike Mordor Orcs actually create a society.
I think the books they're just more near man-height than supermen though.
