Almost correct, but The Hobbit was shit too.

LotR in its entirety is shit and I’m glad that hack’s work is getting assraped.

>implying Hackson's trash respected Tolkien

Can't verify it either - haven't watched it and not gonna. Imagine wasting your time watching corpo central adapt some anglos footnotes l. Smh.

"Sauron just wants to keep his western borders secure. At this point the Elves exists primarily to torment Sauron, who, whatever his many faults, has no intention of invading Middle Earth.Sauron does not want The Shire. He just wants to keep his western borders secure. That's why he doesn't want the men of Rohan to join the Elves, and that makes sense."

RoP is quite good. The Lotr rings movies experienced massive backlash from nerds when it was released too (shire scenes too childish, cut out tom bombadil, Jackson made it excessively melodramatic, romantic character arcs were cynical, the ghost army was stupid, dwarves should have Welsh accents, only normies will like it, liv tyler is too pretty, etc etc).
You'll get over it

>The Lotr rings movies experienced massive backlash from nerds when it was released too

It did?

Is nice
Except for
>master flop

Noone in the world ever has complained about the fotr shire. It was flawless

>original promo supposed to be her in idylic clothing in a peaceful location
>better shop in a sword in case people miss what a badass woman she is

Cringe. I want to hang the fat-fuck who put time to actually make this and watch him squirm.

TL;DR

Some nerds were pissed Glorfindel was replaced by Arwen. That went away though

What the fuck user, you cant post shit like this!!! This is amazons shill board you faggot, take this down

5 people on whatever the 2001 version of reddit was at the time. The only people I know in real life that didn't like it just don't like fantasy and had never heard of Tolkien.

There's always some backlash when things are adapted to film. Backlash to Jackson's LOTR was minimal. I'd say Identical to the first 5 seasons of GoT. IE most liked it

funny pic but ive seen some articles that bezos didnt want this either, he gave some tips and pointers and the showmakers didnt listen

Correct; the atrocity of the Hobbit is a lie of omission.

>extended definitive editions add up to over 11 hours
Proved part of it wrong, bitch.

They do that to all fantasy media. The idea is that books will sell better if they has a sword or dragon on it so you see that shit on everything.

Weren't people raging about the casting for like, all the hobbit when the first film came out?
