I don't know about the city itself but the Hollywood industry in general is filled with them apparently because of their skill. Which apparently is a trickle down effect going all the way back to at least shakespeare. And this smae concept of a trickle down effect also applies to emma watson who apparently actually has no skill but is still successful by association. Apparently.

London has a population bigger than any American city with an extremely diverse range of people and some of the best drama schools in the world, it's an extremely condensed and convenient place to source talent from

because nepotism gets you a job in london so you think "that was easy, i must be talented" and so you go to the place where real work is. it is easy to get a visa if you are british and you already speak english so there is no difficulty in going.
