They're navy, not army but yeah. They’re pretty hated. The silent professionals? A joke. They’re the loud unprofessionals. The guys on the Bin Laden raid were literally tripping over themselves and breaking protocol trying to get to Bin Laden because they knew whomever shot him was set for life with book deals and the like. Lone Survivor is just a straight fabrication. The only real thing about that movie is four seals went on a mission and three died. The rest of the details are all lies. And that’s not to mention the drug use, the rape, and the murder - even of their fellow servicemen.
Navy Seals are nothing more than a criminal gang and I hate them. Not because of what they do, but solely because of the American perception that they are heroes who can do know wrong and are they best warriors America has to offer. I hate when people don’t call a spade a spade. The real silent professionals are CIA SAD and Delta. Not the seals.

Research beyond what Hollywood tells you. I love the movie, but the real events of Lone Survivor are atrocious. I honestly think Marcus Luttrell should have died on that mountain with the team he abandoned. I’d say it to his face. The man is a coward but the navy thought I’d they threw a bunch of medals at him and gave him a book then nobody would notice the real events. And they’re right. Most people don’t know what actually happened on that op.
