TNG had better stories and far superior production values. Alien worlds actually looked alien and not like British Columbia. SG1 is the Pro-American Jingoist version of TNG, and they wear military fatigues instead of gay ass pajamas, and admittedly the characters are more lovable because on TNG everyone is an Advanced Human that has moved beyond greed and hate and they act like fucking robots.
