looks like we have a lot of overlap.
explain though why goldfinger is 2 tiers below goldeneye, and why thunderball is three tiers below arguably the absolute worst bond of all time TMWTGG...

I just went on the ones I was most entertained by. TMWTGG is a train wreck but i’m never bored, can’t say that for thunderball which has bond dick around in a spa without even getting a mission for the first 40 minutes. It’s just horribly paced. Goldfinger also suffers from plot issues, james bonds presence basically doesnt effect the story at all. Had he not existed nothing would have changed except maybe his turning of pussy galore

I have only seen the Craig Bonds and refuse to watch more. Casino Royale and Skyfall are the best ones.

Watch OHMSS

>OHMSS
>top tier
When will this meme die? Its the worst movie in the series.
Also
>Thunderball
>shit tier
wtf is wrong with you faggot?

Swap QoS with Die Another Day, you fucking faggot.

Its shit

it's really not.
>best blofeld (of the movies where he's visible, which i disagree with but still) (don't even talk to me about Pleasance, who was the best part of an otherwise horrible movie)
>best setting
>extremely faithful to the book, and that book is arguably the best of Fleming's
>great action
>great bond (hot take, maybe, but i think he's great. a pleasant distraction from Connery at that point)
>great girl
>the emotional range of the movie was way ahead of its time: we still haven't seen Bond cry since
>very good directing
>very good camera work

I like you

>best Bloefeld yes
>setting is ok I guess
>who cares about the book?
>action is okay for its time
>Not a great bond at all
>girl is even worse. No chemistry with Lazemby
>I dont want to see Bond cry, I don't want to see bond get married. Extremely our of character
The whole movie is just off. Doesn't feel like a Bond movie

quantum's opening alone shits on all of spectre
>thats it for quantum :(

genuine shit taste. even among genuine greats of the era it holds up

DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER IS HORRIBLE

Thunderball is dogshit. Why do people like it?

It does quite the opposite. It has aged the most poorly of all the Bonds IMO

It’s fun
Looks beautiful, good action directing, set ups and pay offs, emotional moment at the end that actually dares to do something to develop bonds character. It’s a great spy movie that doesn’t fall into the same formulaic schlock stuff like YOLT does

Its a top 3 for me.
>Connery at his best, he is in his stride and actually gives a shit still
>Hottest women in all the movies
>Location is excellent
>Love the underwater shots
>Villian is actually cool and actually fights instead of sit in a liar
>awesome gadgets without being cheezy
>Felix is a badass in this one

>dares to do something to develop bonds character.

Yeah it’s a reddit talking point but it works in the context.

>No chemistry with Lazemby
WHAT
they were amazing, actually believable in an era where bond just pretended that women don't exist outside of sex
>doesn't feel like a bond movie
agree to disagree on that, i guess. i thought it was very much a bond movie with the added treat of seeing a side of bond that we never get to see again, in a tasteful way.
agreed
Thunderball is good, but the climactic action sequence is only a slightly better version of YOLT which was horrible. bond is an espionage master, a spy, an assassin. he has no business leading a frontal assault on a fortified position. i docked it a tier for that ()
>look mom, i posed it again

>bond does nothing for the first 40 minutes
>glacial pacing makes it seem like the stakes don’t matter
>underwater scenes are boring
