Doesn't matter, the _entire point_ of calling the lords of the realm to swear to uphold Rhaenyra's succession, was done specifically prevent any conflicts that might arise later.
Viserys knew full well he was still young enough to remarry and possibly have a son with a new wife, yet he commanded the realm to recognize Rhaenyra as heir anyways.
These is no legal basis for the coup launched by the Greens, (it’s an absolute monarchy, the king’s word is LAW) as evidenced by them secretly crowning Aegon II before informing Rhaenyra her father had died. They expected a civil war and didn't give a fuck.

It's honestly debatable given the nature of their society and all legal precedent involved. The fact Viserys had to get the lords to swear to it (which was unprecedented and not binding to their heirs) only highlights how unusual his attempt was.

The oaths weren't binding to anyone but the handful of living lords who had made them by the time of Aegon II's ascension, and all standing law codified by Viserys' predecessor supported Aegon II's claim. This is pointed out in "The Princess and the Queen."
Hell, Aegon III and Viserys II drew *their* claims to the throne through the laws of Jaehaerys I and Aegon II.
