Her show and early People's Court were legit mediation shows that had real cases. Most other court ones have actors and fake cases. Someone I went to college with ended up acting on two different ones with fake names.

I was working for Norwegian cruise lines when they did their undercover boss episode. I was surprised by how fake it was. Everyone on the ship knew who he was since he was being followed by cameras and his picture as CEO was literally hanging on the wall outside the ship's administrative office.

At the end of the episode there's a "reveal" segment where he addresses the crew in a big theater on the ship to explains who he is and what's been happening. In reality he wasn't even there. They just had us go into the theater and a director prompted us to do different reactions, like laugh, clap, act surprised, etc.

"Reality tv" is fake as fuck.
