Ok this is great timing because I saw the movie the other day and it wasn't as bad as people say, just badly cut and edited imho. What is the lore on the Tower? Spoil it for me, the wiki is a mess.
As far as I understand it the Tower keeps chaos out and in the realm that it protects there are multiple worlds. From time to time the Man in Black manages to corrupt the barrier and destroy one of the worlds. His quest is destruction of the Tower and order. Do I have it right?
Is there a God? Who created the Tower?

I disagree. I mean sure, he does seem to lose focus and Randall´s death is disappointing to say the least but there are certainly a few things that can be salvaged from the later books right?
