I am watching Heroes for the very first time I heard some good things about when talking about over all cape shit and I'm four episodes in so fat and I am rather enjoying it
But I know this series eventually turns to shit. So I wanted to know what is the cut off point? at what point do I stop watching? because while I am having fun I know it's gonna get bad eventually
Heroes had a really troubled production so it's really uneven; originally it was supposed to be an anthology show and only Hiro would return for season 2, so season 1 totally wraps everything up neatly, but then the network told them they couldn't do that, so season 2 is really janky as they try and work out how to continue with it. Then the writers strike happened, and that resulted in them abandoning all the plot threads they'd set up. Somehow though, season 3 turned out totally great because they just kind of shrugged their shoulders and said "fuck it, let's just do whatever". Season 4 is weak but overall okay. Don't watch the reboot.
Thank you for reading my blog post.

Stopping after s1 is a good idea.
Nolan Hernandez
I always stop after S1
Aaron Campbell
Thanks lads

Stop watching at the end of Season 1. Just imagine everyone dies and the galaxy is at peace.

i remember the writers of this show being ABSOLUTE cunts to fans, bragging at awards shows, smugly saying their show is going to last for decades, etc. just a bunch of arrogant assholes and then season two happens

The show had a lot of potential for serious staying power, but ONLY IF they let Tim Kring make it anthology-style like he wanted. The network meddling of forcing all the characters to recur every single season is what killed the show instantly. It was a show way ahead of its time, these days if someone wanted to make a show like that it would be embraced. People love anthology shit now, and all the MCU fans would cream over the idea of the seasons being like comic book arcs.

But that's not true. Most shows still aren't anthologies and most shows still go on longer than they should. I agree that Heroes was the most extreme example ever where it went from the amazing first season to utter bullshit without anything in between.
Jacob Rivera
>Most shows still aren't anthologies Yeah, but people eat up that concept when it comes around.

>So I wanted to know what is the cut off point? at what point do I stop watching? because while I am having fun I know it's gonna get bad eventually stop after the opening credits of s01e01

Yeah I agree with the other gents... S2 has one or two good bits but it opens a lot of questions that have retarded unfulfilling asnwers where as stopping at 1 everything is tied up nice... just assume Skylar dies and the post credit scene doesnt real. its a much better show

The first season was amazing. Then it did a massive nosedive. Same shit happened to The Boys.
Jonathan Hughes
Watch it until you no longer like it, why do sheep always ask faggots on here what to do?
John Martinez
1st season is great. 2nd season was trash and halved in episodes due to that huge writers strike. Being short you could still watch the 2nd season so get a feel for how shit the seasons that came after it were though

i didnt get into heroes til late season 2 when i was skipping thru channels
the original commercials for it here made it seem like it was gonna be some shitty reality tv show, they just showed the person, their profession and ended it with the title of the show(heroes) nothing else in those commercials, like thank for not pointing out it was just a superhero type show, would have got more viewers at the time dumbasses
and now i hate that i got into it because it was fucking ruined due to the writers strike
Same with 99% of american shows - Watch season 1 then stop.
Ethan Ortiz
all the good shows get cancelled after 1 season
Kayden Fisher
>halved in episodes due to that huge writers strike That was season 3.
Henry Walker
S2 was only 11 episodes. I could probably go dig out my sealed S2 set which is like half the thickness of the S1 set I ended up getting from my parents on christmas
Andrew Rivera
Oh, you're right. Man, the writer's strike fucked shit up for a long time.

Arrogant sure, I get that they got too overconfident after the first seasons success. But how were they cunts to fans
