I watched it to see if Black hobbits and shit made me mad, but ended up just kinda watching it instead. I don't give a shit about LotR enough to get mad just because they made it so everyone wasn't white. As far as fantasy tv goes, it's quite good.
No one in these threads actually watches the show or any sci-fi/fantasy tv shows for that matter. They don't have a job or a girlfriend or anything that gives them joy. They are incapable of experiencing pleasure due to a combination of Christian shame and internet-enabled dopamine overload. Once mass shooting season comes around in the Spring, they'll be in the news putting pepe frogs on their guns and shooting up black stores and neighborhoods.

It's uneven, that in the end evens out on meh. There are some good ideas there are some abysmal ideas, and the pacing is nonexistant.
The best character in the show is that black elf, because he actually looks and behaves like a fucking elf. He still makes no fucking sense lore-wise (and it can be fixed in 5 minutes by NOT MAKING HIM A MEMBER OF THE NOLDOR), but his actor is the only one who know what he's doing.

The harfoot girls, Elrond and the dwarf are good as well. Surprisingly it's Galadriel's actress who's the weakest. I don't hate her but it feels like the role could have been cast better.

Yeah, she's weirdly devoid of any on-screen charm or charisma. And the writing doesn't help. She's literally written like the biggest Karen in the room, she even unironically goes "I wish to talk to the manager" at one point. And it just makes her unfun to watch.

Hopefully bait but I watched the show and it's terribly boring. The characters aren't interesting and they have done nothing to draw me in. It's like the more time I spend with them, the less I care.
Elrond and Durin have an interesting dynamic but the rest I simply don't care for, it's all just tired tropes.
Not to mention the awful action scenes and sterile, video game-esque world.
