Not sure how many bots are on Any Forums since I can't see IDs but I hope you guys are real as this is worth discussing from a writing perspective. Is this really subtext when the message in the show is completely different from the "subtext" you're pulling out of it? It's like that shitty ship and stone analogy which fails because these things are supposed to work on *both* levels. The scene in the show was (I've only seen ep 1 so far) about how the humans hate the elves because they've been occupying their lands for centuries and, presumably, oppressing them for that long and they're fed up. They wouldn't win if they fought against their masters so all you have is this impotent rage. How is that comparable to America? This is bad subtext.
