There was a reason that investigators refused to drop Allen as a suspect after the DNA test failed to match him and then deactivated the case. He was the most promising suspect, but they didn't have any conclusive physical evidence.

That's a story that pops up in Graysmith's book about how he got spooked while researching the case while digging into Rick Marshall, another suspect who Graysmith was looking into.

Interestingly there was news that the handwriting matches to several of the supposed Zodiac letters in the Riverside case were not created by Zodiac, but instead by a hoaxter who was pulling a prank in the Cheri Jo Bates murder prior to there ever being a Zodiac killer.

This movie was so KINO i wish Fincher had been able to make it in two parts like he wanted.

You can read what the zodiac forums have to say in response. the team got basic facts about the cases wrong. they also solved the last unsolved cipher since then. pretty cool. teams or people come out every few years, usually around october, usually selling a book, claiming they solved it and it's some dead guy.
