If even a 50yo F-14 can take them out
How good are 5th gen fighters really?
If they're piloted by russians, a gypsy tractor could take them down (and they have).
I don't know, it's a movie it's not real
it's not the plane it's the pilot
maverick is the best of the best of the best of the best
As good as female pilots.
>3/4 of a trillion for a plane with weapons that aren’t even fully functional
Sometimes I think designs like these are the swan song for a certain type of tech.
Russians haven’t started yet. 2 million Russian soldiers waiting for the command to attack all NATO countries. SU-57 is the 7th generation fighter jet.
GLOVES ARE COMING OFF
ANY DAY NOW
Maneuverability and ESPECIALLY super-maneuverability doesn't matter in modern air combat with US jets because when you're still 100 km out you'll get an amraam straight through your fucking cockpit. NGAD/FA-XX and their spooky dooky loyal drone missile trucks will up the ante even more while
>Chinese "5th Gen" fighters put around on dog shit engines
>Russian make eh idk 4 more SU-57 faggots if they can even afford that many
>Brits and Japs jerk off over CAD images of a plane that wont fly until the 2040's
>Italy and Germany stomp in their own shit and piss for fucking up YET ANOTHER committee plane project
they're so good you'd be dead before you even knew they were there. they'd kill you from miles away. dogfights aren't a thing anymore.
$750 billion for F35 program? Since it will be distributed among all NATO countries and the order now exceeds 3000 units, feels like normal price for 5th generation fighter jet.
>Not fully functional
Wait why and how?
Not a lot of Americans know but Sweden has their own fighter jets, Saab.
>Italy and Germany stomp in their own shit and piss for fucking up YET ANOTHER committee plane project
Many such cases!
Yeah and the head honcho just shared the biggest cope of the decade due to the gripen failing to sell
Were they even ever as historylet on this time frame I have no idea if the cold war ever involved more than the Afghanistan war for dog fights and if so how they're even supposed to be irl
qrd?
That was a male pilot. I'm on that ship
Early cold war had IR missiles only and that was still very much within the range of gun kills and maneuvering/energy management was everything. Late cold war started to see longer range semi-active missiles and then even active ("fire and forget") long range air to air missiles.
I can't fucking wait for the NGAD to enter flight testing
t. defense contractor engineer
I know eurotrash that play DCS and absolutely gush over the Viggen, a plane that never saw combat. And are creaming themselves over the EF2000.
are these serb volunteers?
