another reminder to stay updated with your booster shots

I always thought that was dumb, but head canon now after living through covid is that the ayy's were hit by the cold and rapidly developed an untested vaccine to cure themselves of it, and the vax ended up actually killing them.

;_;7 Thunderchild

should've taken the vaxx

They didn't want to take the vaccine.

They were thirsty

This was stupid in light of modern science where viruses can only jump between related hosts. How could they jump to an alien species with a completely separated biochemestry?

>can only jump between related hosts. How could they jump to an alien species with a completely separated biochemestry?
then they are obviously related

They had machines buried on earth for God knows how long. They could have easily been from ancient earth and even shared DNA with humanity. They left Earth countless years ago and evolved separately. Space travel needs a relatively sterile environment and while humans evolved on a planet with microorganisms we had to develop defenses for, they evolved according to their sterile artificial environment.
