I would have Dead Reckoning be Hunt's send off. Have him be injured & retire from Missions within the film's & have them continue the series with Atwell, Ferguson & Paula Patton (all of them are genuine strong non woke female characters) and Benji & maybe Hawkeye.
Cruise comes back for cameos in a Hopkins/Fishbourne like role & is banging Ferguson when she is not on mission.
Bring Brad Bird back to direct if Christopher McQuarrie bows out with Dead Reckoning.
