He makes some reasonable points in that video, I think, but it also shows another sort of point to content when it comes to Japan. These clubs are definitely not supposed to be those sorts of establishments and yet they're tasteless once you get into the whole deal. As always what happens behind the scenes is completely different than what the general public thinks or pretends to "know" at least. Hiroyuki, I guess, is seen as a yankee troublemaker kind of dude that just says stuff for the sake of creating some sort of controversy and whilst that is probably true to some degree he also often just says what he thinks without pretending to adhere to some cultural moral aspect that is widespread in Japanese society.
