It took GOT 5 seasons to turn into a rushed mess that forgot the show don't tell rule and morphed its characters into complete retards for the sake of driving the plot. HOTD did it in just 2 episodes.

Jesus Christ, Any Forums. You miserable, beloved bastards. I seriously fucking loved episode 2. I loved everything about it. I fucking adored Matt Smith, I loved the suspense of war, I loved the plot twists, holy fuck I loved the dialogues, everything was so well written, dense with information. I enjoyed the GoT intro so much, still one of the best intros of all time in my opinion, and hearing it now for the first time at the beginning of ep. 2 really did something for me.
But most of all, I honestly loved the princess. She reminded me of what strong female characters looked like, only a few years back. Not the stupid retcon shit, or the diverse bullshit, or Mary Sue characters so superficially and badly written that you honestly question the writers' sanity. Here we have a strong female character that I could actually identify with. She has depths, her own motives, emotions, struggles. Remember that, what it felt like? I almost couldn't. She is better than all female characters of Star Wars and the MCU combined.
This was good, dammit. It reminds me of the high points of how I felt about Game of Thrones. Also it constantly reminds me how they ruined something that could've been the best show in existence, which is kind of bitter. But I'm honestly very excited about this.

Hours upon hours every fucking day just standing there. Years pass, and you're still standing in the same hallway, 10 hours a day. The silence broken by Robert ripping a muffled bullfrog and laughing to himself about it, before 6 more hours of silence before you can go home to your wife who has messy hair for some reason.
