What a midwit take. The coked out helicopter sequence is one of the best parts of the movie, and Henry's paranoia after getting out of jail is also kino and essential to the story, without it you would just have a movie about Herny jerking off the mob for 2 hours.

Why didn’t he just put him in charge of the restaurant or the lounge? There were a dozen bullshit jobs in the casino (the movie mentions this more than once) and Sam knew he needed to keep the guy’s father-in-law happy. Make him supervisor of the valets, fuck. He wasn’t all that bright, he was happy just being there.

I've definitely appreciated Casino more in recent years than I did as a teen. The plot is more intricate than Goodfellas and the last 3rd of the movie is much better. Goodfellas kinda drags on after Tommy dies whereas shit just increasingly escalates between Nicky, Ace, and the Feds in Casino.
