Decline of Western Art

Anyone else notice a severe drop off in quality when it comes to Movies, video games, music the last 10 years or so. What has caused this?

Audiences wanting more and more perfection

Greed, basically. Quantity over quality, just shit out rehashed shit and milk franchises dry as long as people consume that.

information overload, decrease in attention span, cynicism, general apathy
such is life in the time of weltschmerz

No you just grew up
have sex boomer

No you're just a permanently triggered chud

no, there's a shitload of great video games and music, probably movies as well
you need to look for them instead of just waiting for the names with the most money to them to shovel shit into your mouth

It's not so much a decline as it is the companies being infested with pink haired leftoids producing garbage after garbage to appease the mentally ill 1% who live on social media criticizing everything and then their same pink haired leftoid freaks who write stupid opinion pieces about it forcing companies to cater to their wants when the majority of people don't want that shit.

Some companies like WB's etc...thanks to the discovery buyout have finally realized it's not worth losing millions after millions producing trash for those clowns so it's only a matter of time before it all ends and those fags get shunned back to the basement of society where they belong.

1. old guard dying out and the new talent (or lack thereof) can't match up
2. millennial artists are pozzed and lack talent
3. jews
4. audiences don't know what they want
5. everything is politics and preaching but not in the subtle well executed ways of old films
6. people mistake the point above for good and smart writing
7. audiences have no media literacy and don't watch great films or tv shows to see that everything is bad
8. internet fucked a lot of things up so it's harder to please people or get a grasp of demographics since there is split subcultures of subcultures of subcultures
9. little to no attention spans
10. fanservice and people just wanting self serving crap instead of things that will challenge their world views and what not
11. adaptation of video games, comics and young adult fiction instead of good books, even noir pulp is more intellectual than that crap

>Technical perfection somehow leads to boredom because it reproduces nature
>Nature is bad

Censorship started being taken seriously after 2004. Everything you think, now, is degenerate is in fact planned. There was maybe.. 3 years where they allowed pre-2004 stuff to go through the cracks due to cash already spent. I think it was MXC: Most Xtreme-elimination Challenge that made popped that bubble.

Nice reading comprehension, retard. He's saying that we can experience Nature directly, so why try to replicate that in art? That would render art redundant and ultimately boring.

The elf guy in the promo's talking to Galadriel is so fucking ugly. The hair brings too much attention to his face. There isn't enough pretty people cast.

>Movies, video games
>art
Manchildren are destroying civilization

The big studios still produce the same amount of kino as they always did. Streaming companies with
no studios of their own have to play catch-up and blow all of their budgets on hijacking big IPs and having to build their own props and sets from scratch, then forcing them to in turn gamble on the diversity card to cast as wide net as possible.

makes me wonder (((who))) is responsible for this

It's diversity hires and everything being made by contractors/outsourcing. I wish there was some kind of more elegant explanation but it really is that simple. Competent people got replaced by cheap people and people agreeable to California's sensibilities.

basado. my art teacher was like this and hated the kid that just drew photorealistic portraits

Monopolization of producers (and the ‘08 writers’ strike didn’t help)

Are you the same guy from that other thread who argued Shakespeare and Milton were bad cause they’re fiction?
