Please tell me this is not real

Lmao, seriously??

Resident Evil sucks and always has.

of course it's real
racial diversity goes against human nature

niggers actually believe this, not knowing how hollywood operates these days

meh, I still have a soft spot for original 3 and 4.
rest of the series can lick my nuts though.

They don't care, they ruined your favorite franchise and that good enough for them. They already have another 10 series in the works. Money is not real anymore.

>they ruined your favorite franchise
creating a bad adaptation that i wont watch and filling it with ugly niggers isnt ruining anything tho

having a "favorite franchise" is manchild amerimutt shit anyway, they dont adapt anything that's really worth the time because it's generally far too niche

lol do you have any evidence it's all a conspiracy and your incel movies just bomb?

>they ruined your favorite franchise
Yeah, like how Highlander is no more a great classic and beloved by most people that watched it because of the sequel.

Or how Resident Evil stopped being an incredibly popular videogame series after the Milla movies.

It's not really about being woke. It's about trying to make Resident Evil without really understanding why Resident Evil is popular. It's about hiring a lot of talented people and not listening to their concerns about the tone or pacing of the show.

user you needed to put Ben Hur in there to try to find examples. Aka random remake of a movie that was a success half a century ago n°87484748. At this point put the new Conan in there.

The VFX lead said that he had issues with the dialogue in the show, but he was just a VFX guy. His job was to make the monsters look sexy, and Netflix was trying to reduce the amount of monster action in the show to focus more on teenagers having problems, so that was a struggle.

the Milla movies are beloved cheesy action schlock even if critics hate them. As for Highlander II yeah we're going to have a lot of franchise entries from this time period flat out ignored, we can already see Mandalorian doing that with the Disney sequels
I agree that wokeness wasn't what sank it, it just wasn't any good. Like it was just some generic zombie show that they called Resident Evil, they basically paid tens of millions of dollars to call the lead black scientist Albert Wesker, because the name was about all they used from it.

Yeah but the RE movie had 0 black characters and it got the same reaction
How does that work

they turned leon into a pajeet or some shit lmao

But everyone thought Leon was the best part. He was a stupid himbo just like young Leon in games

>everyone
every pajeet who watched it

>have tons of original material to do a tv show
>I'm better than that, let's make Black Resident
At least Anderson was fucking Mila, so you can understand why he did his movies around her character but this idiots have no excuse.

I'm convinced that the show could have been significantly improved by cutting an hour or two out of it, maybe even cutting it down to movie length, tonally adjusting in terms of soundtrack, and cutting dialogue that doesn't work.

I honestly think there's a half decent RE film or even two RE films, one apocalyptic, one modern day, buried inside the show. But the creative decisions in the show are self-sabotaging. The show's opening is a bit like the opening of Lost Boys. The two teens arrive in town, there's a song playing. But on is "People are Strange" and the other is Billie Elish. See the problem? I don't get how this show got past focus testing. I don't understand how Dabb or someone else didn't say, "We have to rethink this. We have to cut and cut and cut and massage this into something more palatable."

I don't want to discuss niggers, I just want to ask if the show is any good. Better than the Mila films, at least?

My grandad was a mean old dude who died a millionaire after a life of working his ass off and hating everyone.
He told me a few things that at the time I thought were silly but stuck with me nevertheless and I think about a lot:
>study computers. There money in that
>people want to be with their own kind
>if a movie doesn’t have horses in it, it’s probably not worth watching.
I wish the mean old bastard had lived long enough to see LoTR.
It’s crazy how right he was about everything.

Being woke or not was irrelevant. The show was incredibly bad with some of the worst writing in recent years.

They turned Jill into a nigger

Anderson wasn't in a relationship with Milla until later, and he didn't direct the second and third movies. Jovovich is the lead character in the Resident Evil series for a very simple and not difficult to understand reason.

You don't want a videogame character to be lead character in your RE adaptation. They rewrote Jill into Alice specifically so Capcom wouldn't have any control over her. That's the only reason Alice exists. To be free from Capcom. Incidentally, Capcom have no issue with Alice. They're just jealous they don't own her or anything else from the films because they sold the IP rights in 1996 and can't use any "finished product" as they call it from the movies. So no Alice, no set designs, etc. The only exception were spinoffs where they cut a deal to use some elements, like Umbrella Chronicles which has the OG laser corridor design. With the mainline games, Capcom don't wanna pay royalties. That's why RE4 has a donut steel version of the laser corridor, and RE2R has the Nest instead of the Hive.

The TV show Constantin wanted was kinda like RE: Extinction. So you've have this new group of survivors that would cross paths with Alice, but those survivors would get way more narrative focus, while keeping Alice in play for sexy action antics. But Netflix were more interested in a teen drama. So they compromised.

that shouldn't matter.

Didn't care about the plot but Lance Reddick wacky shenanigans will be missed.

No, just the general western consensus. Anyways, even if people didn't like him (they did), he was such a small part of the film full of super white actors that it can't be considered woke.
The pajeet is also the least capable person in the story, always being carried by white people

It's as if when you divert all your attention to making your show as woke as possible, other areas than require attention (like writing, acting ability, etc) suffer. Irrelevant my ass, retard.

>It's about hiring a lot of talented people and not listening to their concerns about the tone or pacing of the show.
That's not the case at all. The situation here is like hiring a bunch of ex-porn stars to work at a fast food place, but they keep trying to fuck all the customers because that's all they know. Netflix hired a bunch of ex-college students. All they know is how to be quirky social activists. So they just wrote the show that way. Simple as
