What is a film where you are fascinated by the world, the lore, etc yet hate the film itself?
For me it's all of the Hellraiser movies

MCU. The lore and build up to each film is actually decently put together. But the movies and shows all fucking suck shit.
Waterworld
Though I still love Dennis Hopper
Not so much Any Forums but it has shitty adaptations too so it counts. I love WH40k but the tabletop is garbage to play.
Constantine (2005)
Cloverfield
13 Ghosts remake
the ghosts are pretty cool, and I guess Matthew Lillard was good in it. other than that, eh
I only liked 1 and 2 those made the most sense out of the rest
they were the only ones made by clive barker. after that the studio has called all the shots (and typically only makes a sequel when the rights are about to lapse due to lack of use)
he somewhat also made 3 and 4 but i dont think even he had a idea of what to do with the story
All the Riddick movies
Besides vin diesel is a charisma black hole
Evil Dead, no doubt
In the hands of a decent director it could really be something more than le comedy horror with epic lines that it ended up becoming. I mantain that the initial sequence when the gang starts listening to those tapes was very well done, eerie and could be the set up to something good. And then it all falls apart.
Stranger Things. Not the fucking kids or whatever, but the upside down and MK ultra shit, I hope the spin off is about that. I can't stand the teenage drama bullshit
Jesus wept.
Agreed. Space Hulk is fun however.
the true barker kino
Harry Potter franchise
Treasure Planet
based and fhtagn pilled
youtube.com
Matrix franchise
Star Wars, original and prequel/sequels. I love the "universe" but don't give a flying fuck about the shit movies, expect the music of course. Kotor 1 alone btfos any of the movies.
