Why use physical media in the streaming age? Its the same video on netflix so why pay extra to fill your house with useless plastic?

Why not use physical media? It's just a tool.
You're autistic?

People don't realise that films are not the same as music. In music if you buy a cd or a vinyl you know you have in your hands the best sound quality possible (unless it's remastered in the future) For films, however, encoding was very bad for a long time (MPEG 2) and the quality of old media is heavily deprecated, making it a bad collector's product. Same with VHS and h.264, which is getting replaced by h.265

>using h.266 when av1 exists
gay and fake

the MPEG cartel hates freedom

>Its the same video on netflix
doubt netflix has that many high quality films on its servers

>Saying this when streaming sites had increasingly taken down episodes because they didn't meet current standards of political correctness and or just censored.
The only winners here are pirates.

Streaming has higher compression to achieve lower bit rate and thus images are less detailed.

No one wants to watch racist nazi shit like black face on its always sunny and community and scrubs. Literaly non-issues

Because streaming doesn't have everything available. And they can always leave the service you use.

>same video

Netflix literally caps 4k at 15.2 mbps and the physical 4k disc hits over 100 mbps. It isn't comparable, unless you're poor and have a shitty panel.

because if tomorrow some tranny snowflake community decided they are offended for some reason they can make shit canceled.

DVD for me, thank you.
