Axe technology has advanced so much.

2095>2093

Why is the axe bent forward.

an axe works, there is no needed to reinvent the wheel. I mean, people use axes in 2022.

It used to be uri gellers

We must wait till 2058 to find out

Got my own custom made off the internet.

We'll still need to cut stuff down then

That's a space axe

did I mention it has a serrated edge in case you need to do any emergency sawing?

what did you expect? fucking laser axe?

anyone else oddly turned on by the birth chamber scene?

Did you get that from the future?

hahaha no

How does it actually perform as an axe?
That's actually kind of dumb
>inconvenient position to saw anything large
>teeth are bound to get stuck in whatever you're chopping

So, the head of the axe is attached to the handle with a 1/4 in. wooden dowel?

Oddly turned on? No. Turned on? Yes.

It's not usable. Ideally you want the cutting edge of the axe to be perpedicular to the arc of the swing. This maximizes the cutting surface and reduces the chance of the axe jumping or sliding away when it hits. The curve in the handle doesn't make any sense because it just adds extra weight without extending reach. You wouldn't even want an axe that long if the handle was straight. The real question is how would this open an airlock in an emergency, right? How are you gonna get the toe of that underneath a pressure door? What kind of leverage are you gonna get from that handle even if you did get it under a door. Maybe get it 6 inches off the ground before the handle hits the floor.

Actual ruralfag here with a sledge and two wood axes for differing roles: I have no fucking clue except some clueless flatlander thought it was cool and futuristic and stuff.

axes have been around awhile OP. pretty sure another 70 years isnt beyond comprehension

In the future, axes will be so efficient, our spaceships will never want for firewood.
