>Dunk and Egg Novel
>goes to a tourney
>the favorite to win is a Bolton (either a younger son or cousin) who was warded in the South and thus became a Knight and was familiarized with the Knightly traditions of the South
>he has Flayed Man armor and his pavilion is made of pigskin or something. He has a super grim and spooky reputation, everyone is afraid of him
>there is something sinister going on in the background, disappearing peasants or something maybe. Many suspect the Flayed Knight
>he isn't actually met by Dunk until at least half way through where we learn it's all an act and he's a really nice dude that actually seems to very much be a "True Knight" and ends up helping Dunk in some way with the main plot

Cute. So who's the actual villain, if there is one?

discord trannies in the house tonight

>all those votes for jaime

why?

4/10 either you post this too often or you stole it

You're entitled to your opinion user, we'll just have to see how this plays out.
By displacing Viserys' own heir, with his grandson in which Alicent has her claws sunk into? To which he then plays against Rhaenyra and conspires to kill her loyalists and seize greater power for his house? I don't really see how that's "stable" ruling.

r/freefolk sisters...

> and his pavilion is made of pigskin or something
You mean leather?
>zero connection to a blackfyre rebellion
You sound like someone with minimal knowledge. Anyway, it could work as a short story if you made it less retarded.

I just have one question, was the whole jousting sequence in the books? If it was in the book I would give it the benefit of the doubt, otherwise the entire sequence was a badly written mess.

I've been trying to find one with book art but didn't find it

True targs can only fuck as far as nieces and nephews, anything further from their sisters doesn't wake the dragon, so to speak

Cringe kino, would be fun to read

Why does everyone on this show look like a Jew fucked a bong with Downs Syndrome?

I'm talking in the episode, user. You even framed the discussion as being about that. You ok?

either write it or give us the outline. either way sounds like some comfy Northern kino

these are anecdotal fanfiction from GRRM's books

The book was a historical record, not a story. And thank fuck for that, otherwise Fatman would've keeled over before he could get around to writing the start of the actual fucking war

>‘House of the Dragon’ Premiere Draws Nearly 10 Million Viewers, Biggest HBO Series Premiere Ever
>Westeros came back to HBO last night with the series premiere of “House of the Dragon” — and brought the masses along with it.
>“House of the Dragon” drew in 9.99 million viewers across HBO and HBO Max after premiering with one episode on Sunday, according to Warner Bros. Discovery. This viewership tally includes linear airings, as well as HBO Max streams during premiere night.
>HBO says “House of the Dragon” drew the largest audience in the pay TV channel’s history, including content that debuted before the streaming era, as well as HBO shows that have since premiered on defunct digital platforms HBO Now and HBO Go, as well as their successor HBO Max.

Daemon is clearly not a suitable heir. It's a shame that the Hightowers didn't attempt to manipulate Rhaenyra to sway her against her uncle, but there's no such thing as a selfless man in politics.

Maybe it's because they're all incest Spawn?

>Cregan
Fuck it, might as well follow after Bean

Attached: 3ec.jpg (1078x1666, 1.25M)

Yeah but it's a tv show. Nobody wants to watch ugly or weird people unless they're not meant to be sympathized with.

Some die in battle, 5 are killed while chained in the Dragonpit when an angry mob led by a supposed prophet of the Gods who tells them Dragons are Demons attacks it

Attached: file.png (1200x797, 1.14M)

Sucks to be Viserys.

He just wanted to sit in his room making models but then they made him king instead and he had to kill his wife and son and put up with all kinds of bullshit.

As cool as it would be, Cregan's like 25 at the point he enters the plot.

Damn, Otto's pimp game is so cold

They better do justice to quite possibly the most based man to ever live.

Unfortunately the advertising worked. It seems like people on average are more fond of the earlier seasons than they are angry with the last seasons.

>Viserys' own heir,
His son?

>with his grandson
user what are you on about?

>in which Alicent has her claws sunk into
You're quite the dramatic cunt.

Otto supporting the standing laws of the Seven Kingdoms and the precedents of the Great Council of 101 *is* embracing stability. Even Rhaenyra's own rebels end up upholding that law in the end.
I don't see how her usurping her *brother's* crown (not her nephew's, it's so weird you confused that) is stable ruling.

how do the dragons not just incinerate the whole mob?

Upon rewatching Game of Thrones, King Robert was the best choice for the kingdom that was able to keep every fucker in line and in check.

was better than a lot of the writing of the last 3 seasons but thats not a high bar

> but then they made him king
He very much wanted to be king considering he spent the entire great council campaigning for himself.

I really hope they add Alys Rivers and make her way older than Aemond

I hope by that part of the story the writers just go all in on the maester/septon conspiracy. There's no fucking way it was a spontaneous event.

The mob has plot armor

is it good or is it bad? are the principal actors as good as in got? i'm going to try to get some of my friends to watch it if it's genuinely good

> Daemon is a cringe groomer
> Aemond is chad cougar hunter
I KNEEL

>unfortunately

you're right user they should just ignore good work because it didn't end up being sustainable.

RAPER!

It's weird that they retconned Rhaenys into being the second candidate when in the books she wasn't even seriously considered.

What was spoken?

Attached: viserys.png (400x405, 313.19K)

I mean wasn't the Alicent thing pretty shady? It's insinuation but you could get a lot from their interactions as well as Otto's interactions with Viserys.
>Daemon is not a suitable heir
I agree, but he cares about his house. Viserys alienating him didn't help his intentions to put Rhaenyra on the throne.
>It's a shame that the Hightowers didn't attempt to manipulate Rhaenyra to sway her against her uncle
Her and Daemon seem oddly close, I doubt she'd betray her last tie to her father for a man she barely knows, but Otto was the one who persuaded Alicent to undermine her. Bad strategy.

HBO own it now, the books are nothing but kindling

>We need to cauterize the wound your Grace
I thought the dragon people had +infinite fire resistance or some shit. How was that supposed to work?

The dragons are chained inside the pit limiting their mobility, and without riders dragons fight more like wild animals so they’re aren’t killing the mob as effectively as they could.

Well now that we're back I just wanted to post it again to a bigger audience, I probably won't post it again for a while
>You mean leather?
I thought it was clear but the idea is to be as close as possible in appearance to human skin, I thought pigs in the style of the American Landrace pig or similar breeds would be the best way to achieve that, but I'm open to other suggestions.
>zero connection to a blackfyre rebellion
>You sound like someone with minimal knowledge
It's been a while but I don't recall every single Dunk and Egg novel involving a new Blackfyre plot.
Honestly hadn't gotten that far, it was mostly me working backwards to make my Bolton oc idea work in a story and this was the best fit I could come up with. Plus tourney settings are kino.

Attached: Ramsay.jpg (753x1000, 138.39K)

The most retarded man to ever live

is that the fucking priest kid from The Last Kingdom?

> It's weird that they retconned Rhaenys into being the second candidate when in the books she wasn't even seriously considered.
Well it was her underage son who was considered instead, and considering she would have been his regent their claims were practically one in the same.

So when does House Velaryon lose all their status and influence?

>qt baratheon lady as wife
>strong witch bastard as mommy mistress
wtf based aemond?

In terms of feudal politics? No. Otto is established as wanting an heir for Viserys to maintain stability. First a son, then even Daemon. With the queen dead the king needs a wife and an heir. It's just common sense.

"My lord your daughter is going to be BLACKED"

pretty much right after the Dance

>It's been a while but I don't recall every single Dunk and Egg novel involving a new Blackfyre plot.
Nah, Sworn Sword is about the aftermath of the Rebellion and the damage it did, but isn't about a specific plot, and I think the first book doesn't even mention the Blackfyres at all, it may have been before GRRM created them in ASOS

>I just spoke to my agent and he says 3 seasons and we can do much better

Mayhaps the attackers hoped to take the dragons within whilst they slept, but the clangor of the assault made that impossible. Those who lived to tell tales afterward speak of shouts and screams, the smell of blood in the air, the splintering of oak-and-iron doors beneath crude rams and the blows of countless axes. “Seldom have so many men rushed so eagerly onto their funeral pyres,” Grand Maester Munkun wrote, “but a madness was upon them.” There were four dragons housed within the Dragonpit. By the time the first of the attackers came pouring out onto the sands, all four were roused, awake, and angry.
>No two chronicles agree on how many men and women died that night beneath the Dragonpit’s great dome: two hundred or two thousand, be that as it may. For every man who perished, ten suffered burns and yet survived. >Trapped within the pit, hemmed in by walls and dome and bound by heavy chains, the dragons could not fly away, or use their wings to evade attacks and swoop down on their foes. Instead they fought with horns and claws and teeth, turning this way and that like bulls in a Flea Bottom rat pit…but these bulls could breathe fire. “The Dragonpit was transformed into a fiery hell where burning men staggered screaming through the smoke, the flesh sloughing from their blackened bones,” writes Septon Eustace, “but for every man who died, ten more appeared, shouting that the dragons must needs die. One by one, they did.”

Sorry.
>His son?
Rhaenyra
>grandson
Aegon II
>dramatic
His mother's lineage was the only reason he kept Otto around. He largely followed her command until he came of age, and even then still kept her as council. If Otto was better as his job, there would have been far less destruction, but shit didn't really go his way.

Aemond being absolutely Retarded is part of the charm, better than the blacks who are all Mary Sues or tryhard edgelord characters.

They weren't though, one would let her rule as queen in her own right and the other would have her act as regent. The books made this clear, so it's not "one in the same" but two different options.

Seems more like they did it so a woman could seem slighted by their medieval political system.
