Majel Barrett was a great actress in the Star Trek series, this and DS9. Her character of Lwuxanna Troi was great comic relief with a real warmth to it thanks to amazing writers. She contrasted nicely to stuffy uptight Starfleet and stuffy uptight Odo. Unlike most characters who would only express emotion with an eye roll or a sigh, she wore her heart on her sleeve and that's why she stole every scene she was in. Maybe we know someone like her but even if we don't, she was always fun to watch.
