Traditionally, the judge would have gone to daemon before his list to ask him if he was sure he wanted to proceed without a visor, if at least only because he was a prince and at the time current heir to the iron throne. The other knights even, would have brought it up to make sure it was gonna be ok.
Honestly him doing it is actually a really cowardly move, chances the other knights would have been afraid of killing him.
