Das Boot

>The Big Red One
all the others are pure kino but never get what people saw in this one. Found it very slow and plodding personally

>A Bridge Too Far
This is the one I've seen of those you mention. I can verify kinostatus for this.
I'll consider the others. Thank you based user.

Steiner - Das Eiserne Kreuz
Stalingrad

be careful with Patton, its an excellent film, but not really a traditional "war" film.

I'm so happy however nobody has mentioned that starship troopers tier propaganda piece known as saving private ryan yet

CROSS OF IRON
The Story Of G.I Joe
Decision At Dawn
To Be Or Not To Be

Enemy at the Gates
Battle of the Bulge

Where Eagles Dare, one of the greatest WW2 espionage films ever created, and Richard Burtons greatest film imo.

Must've been an incredible life, drinking a bottle of vodka a day for breakfast, beating up nazi stuntmen all day, then banging Elizabeth Taylor every night.

>The Dirty Dozen

>Patton

fucking larp for your zogbot film harder

Valkyrie

The Dirty Dozen is great, but mostly the end mission.

I like the part, where all the wifes and girlfriends are locked in the cellar, and the boys start pouring gasoline canisters and chucking grenades down the vent shafts before igniting the whole lot, laughing the whole time?

Would such a scene even be allowed today?

>Would such a scene even be allowed today?
yes, watch inglorious basterds. this stupid goyslop is always promoted by jews. they love seeing germans die

Can you IMAGINE trying to film a scene like this with no CGI or even digital cameras?

No shit.
We're on Any Forums.
Everyone knows about the Jews and their lies.
But it's still fun to watch soldiers go on missions in one of the last wars where you at least had to know who you were shooting at.
Now it's all missiles and air support from miles away. Boooooo.

>A Bridge Too Far >propaganda
I'm user, reporting back. You haven't seen this movie.
The whole point of ABTF was Montgomery's botched Market Garden campaign. It points out how senior officers fail and the effects such failures have down the chain-of-command. Many many deaths resulted from Market Garden in the West; in the East, Market Garden wasted time which time would have been helpful in keeping Stalin further from the Atlantic.
You are not somebody whose opinions bear weight with me.

I've heard it said that Modern Warfare (lol) is effectively a game of Hide and Seek, where the play area is the entire planet, and the loser dies.
