The second one. It was so fucking bad that it made the initial ending look like a masterpiece.
I was thinking about this when I saw him defending the finale immediately after it aired; the guy is clearly a great actor, but you can't go from doing one of the most revered television endings of all time (Six Feet Under) and then flop over and defend TWO fucking horrifically thought-out endings like that. He either hated the character/wanted Dexter gone personally, or they did some Mark Hamill shit to him.
