What would be your preferred ending?

Mine would be Saul taking the 7 years. He wins and looks emotionally at kim one more time in the eyes and then it pans to the prison bus where they recognize him in a less cringy way instead of shouting his name. After that have it pan to the golf field where Jimmy is golfing. The bell rings and as saul/jimmy is walking towards his cell it zooms out of the prison whilst playing the better call saul theme. It would be a fitting end and would be a realistic approach instead of throwing his life away for a women who left him years ago. It was a good show until the last 10 minutes.

Jimmy comes out of the dumpster covered in tar and the cops put 28 warning shots in his chest.

A trial by conman

The 'sad' ending would have been basically the same overall outcome. He gets the 7 years, but Kim hates him and there's only like one guy in jail that recognizes him. So instead of being treated like a king by every inmate its more like he has ONE stalker that idolizes him and offers his booty.

Like, him expecting to have a super comfy prison sentence and then having it be annoying as shit is the only way I could see another ending work.

Him getting the 7 years. Kim looks sad as they part.

On the bus one guy recognises him as that scumbag lawyer, Saul is like “you realise you’re in prison too right asshole”

Later on we see Saul getting looked down on by the other prisoners like the same snobby country club that wouldn’t let him in

He writes a letter to Kim and they have the same scene with her visiting and smoking with him

They laugh about him being able to get 7 years and she says he must be enjoying It here. He pretends he is but is obviously miserable. Kim says she’s being sued by Howard’s widow so she won’t be able to afford to visit again.

Same scene as ending before. But they both give each other finger guns

>she won’t be able to afford to visit again.
doesn't even make sense. 7 years isn't even long either, so they'll be seeing each other very soon anyways. The length of the sentence is what makes things heavier

>there's only like one guy in jail that recognizes him

this would actually be unrealistic. everyone in jail would want him to give them free legal advice in exchange for protection. he wouldn't even need to be a meme, his experiences are perfectly suited for prison.

I might be in the minority here but I like the ending as it was. The only thing I might change would be to include the full title theme during the last scene where Kim is walking out of the prison. I think it would’ve worked very well

I was expecting him to slip on the ice under the bridge and crack his head. Predictable, pointless, but less cucked and retarded than what we got, and it would be kino to see him die a pathetic and ironic death while proving Chuck right

I actually liked the ending that aired but it lacks a proper ending song while the drone camera zooms out of the prison and Saul says one final one-liner.

Also it would have been cool to end it with Saul joining the basketball game or legally advising other inmates while an upbeat song plays in the background. This would show how Jimmy finally finds inner peace.

Maybe the upcoming BCS sequel can be like picrel.

He reduces his sentence by incriminating Kim to the feds.

I was thinking about how instead of a Kim prequel, they would do a sequel. She'd visit Jimmy in jail occasionally like a Hannibal Lecter type deal and he would help her out with her cases. Itd be a cute way to do cameos. Anytime they do a jail scene it could be black and white

Taking the 7 would put Kim at greater risk than just the civil lawsuite from Howards wife... he literally did it for Kim.

>She'd visit Jimmy in jail occasionally like a Hannibal Lecter type deal and he would help her out with her cases.
That would be kino as fuck. AMC should hire you.

Thank you, I actually loved the ending partly because 90% of it was exactly what I thought would happen. When Saul got caught in the first 10 minutes of the episode I got so excited for courtroom kino. Not that it was super hard to predict, its just nice when theories pan out

The BB/BCS universe needs to fucking end already, adding anything else would cheapen it
>young Mike being a hardcore 'nam veteran and slowly becoming a corrupt cop
>young Gus being le gay meth chicken man
>young Hector being a sickfuck and murderraping cartel enemies
All would cheapen the story. Some things need to remain fuzzy so your imagination can fill in the blanks, otherwise it's a documentary, not a story

You're forgetting Lalo, whose main flaw is that his character wasn't explored enough.

>Mine would be Saul taking the 7 years. This except Kim also comes to visit him at the prison after getting her license back and together they help other inmates that they believe were screwed over with free legal counseling

>Lalo
Same thing as Hector. The mystery of his character is what makes him cool. You don't know what he's capable of in BCS and you're left to imagine what kind of sick shit he's done and will do.

I agree, the best parts of the show had nothing to do with BB. I think having Jimmy being the only thing connecting the shows would be nice. I hate the referencing though. DUDE CHEMISTRY TEACHER (Walter White! Remember Breaking Bad?)

They've already cheapened it quite a bit. At least br ba was a great show and will stand up on its own.

>Some things need to remain fuzzy so your imagination can fill in the blanks, otherwise it's a documentary, not a story
Yes. More prequels would be completely unnecessary and tiring.

But a new sequel? Idk. Maybe there's still potential for that.

Him winning in court then being miserable after

I keep seeing that retarded opinion being passed around. You guys act as if all the inmates are going to be super cool to him, buddy buddy just treating him with respect as he helps them. He is more likely to be forced to cooperate for survival, and the moment shit gets too real where he can't help then he'll be in trouble with no way of getting out. It is extra sad because he wants to be Jimmy but everyone will force him to be Saul, and he'll die being Saul. No change at all other than the respect for some girl that will move on and never see him again either because she'll be in prison and/or forget about him. Leaving his noble act to be a pointless gesture.
