Me.

This guy looks like Gordon Ramsay

Schizophrenia allows for high IQ takes

love de shining me lad, its a belta

He had good takes over a decade ago but the well has dried up so he makes up symbolism that isn't there in Kubrick's movies and refuses to talk about anything new

Why does he think his opinions are worth paying for?
Better question, who is paying for this guy's opinions?

Devon Statton from Blackpilled though he's been purged from YouTube.
I love Rob Agar though, he truly understands Kubrick and looks at film in a way few other do. His Black Hole review got me to appreciate something that bored me to tears as a kid.

I don't know if he refuses to expand his horizons and watch more movies or if he only reviews really popular movies to get more people to buy his paywalled content.
I never have or will buy any of his videos but the youtube stuff is good.

No, he refuses to watch anything new he even said, but it seems like both. He only talks about dumb blockbusters because they get clicks.

i cant imagine anyone with 'pilled' in their name is worth watching

His Kubrick-stuff is superb. Same with Verhoeven and Scott. It would be interesting if he tried to analyze some foreign stuff but he has also said that the cultural/lingual difference is too big of a hurdle

He talks about new movies and videogames occasionally, the problem is all of it is hidden behind his insane paywall

His dual analysis of Total Recall and Blade Runner was top notch, like really great stuff and the first piece of movie "analysis" that was actually worthwhile and useful

this is just a small bit though

For the kind of analysis he does a lot of stuff would probably get lost in translation, but also Ager is really only good when discussing directors with a lot of subtle/cryptic messaging which is predominately more of a western cinema trend anyway.

Why do you think Blackpilled is schizo?

Lol no idea who that is but how can anyone take someone like that seriously?

Not that guy, but BlackPilled unironically would retroactively insert contemporary political subtext in movies released 20 - 30 years ago and would purposefully ignore their final messaging to prove that they were propagandizing the thing they were actually criticizing. I am talking specifically about his The Beach review, which was the point after which I stopped paying any attention to him. Nick is a sissy fag but he was right about BlackPilled

Rob is mental but I'd have a bevvy with him.

MovieBlob.

Yeah he reads way too much into clearly unintentional, or inconsequential minutae of the movie and makes schizo assumptions based on it, but at least it's not critical theory deconstructionist leftist shit.
