What were the vehicles in the Cars universe fighting WWII over? German expansionism? The Mercedes and BMW master race's treatment of jews and the autocaust? What form does a jew take in that world? Were their concentration camps like the junkyard in the Brave Little Toaster? And doesn't the implication that WWII happened and german cars fancied themselves a master brand, clash especially hard with the themes in Cars 3 and Planes implying that just because you're built a certain way, doesn't mean you have to be that thing? Doesn't that theme clash with the very universe it inhabits? Most of the low-class citizenry appears to be forklifts, who will never be anything but laborers by design. A couple are shown to be mechanics, the equivalent of doctors, but they don't appear to be paid like it or revered in the same way. Forklifts are nobodies because they will never go fast or fly or look cool. Cars are somebody because they're cars and automatically better than forklifts, and the forklifts must bend to their needs. But not all cars. Shitty econobox sedans and minivans will never be special. The main character in Planes was only able to win with technique and a massive shortcut, not because he's actually fast enough to win in a dead sprint. Wouldn't BMW and Mercedes and Porsche, then, LITERALLY be a race that is better than almost all the other common cars, like they are in the real world, and thus their expansionism and nationalism in their WWII is justified? Why do the allied countries of this world see a problem with them exerting their superiority, when this happens on the daily anyway? It can't be avoided. Some sentient vehicles are just built better.
What were the vehicles in the Cars universe fighting WWII over? German expansionism...
Imagine saying all this to a starving homeless man in Guatemala.
I routinely talk at panhandlers about nothing because they have to listen, or fuck off somewhere else. Either way I win.
was this a quick flashback or is there actually a scene in cars with Corsairs
They all die too.

There's a full-blown naval battle scene in Planes where a bunch of planes fucking die, and they also name a bunch of actual WWII missions throughout the movie. Planes explicitly states that it takes place in the Cars universe in case it wasn't obvious enough the two movies are linked.
I like to think the ships were crewed by the last living humans, desperately fighting their last stand against the unending tide of living machines hunting them to extinction.
>What were the vehicles in the Cars universe fighting WWII over?
Fuel
There are scenes on an aircraft carrier that show otherwise, they're just crewed by forklifts.
But I never actually considered, is the ship itself alive? Why does it need a crew? I don't think they ever zoomed in on its "face" to prove one way or another.
a better question is what was shit like the bronze age like, its quite clear they had previous models which means at some point there were no cars but horse drawn buggies, were the buggies sentient, what would horses even be since even the animals are in some way vehicle themed
thanks for this, you made me chuckle.
I think one of the other movies showed botes also are sentient, and even if not considering every other vehicle is sentient including a blimp it would be safe to assume they are also sentient, in other words tactical vore would probably be a thing in cars
>and thus their expansionism and nationalism in their WWII is justified
One race being more capable than another certainly doesn't justify aggression, unless your concept of justice is very twisted.
Oh yeah this seals it, a military boat too.

true the jews discriminated against hitler for being trans.

What factors contributed to the events leading up to WWII are irrelevant to your original statement, that one race of cars being superior justified the war. The factors you mention certainly contributed to the rise of a totalitarian socialist regime in Germany, but ultimately the state (and underlying ideology, especially the notion of a vampire economy) is to blame for its own aggression.
Perhaps in a system of voluntary, decentralized exchange, each vehicle could benefit by specializing in its comparative advantage. This would render the "make" conflict entirely unnecessary, so long as integration were not forced by an oppressive entity known as the state. Which cars work as tax collectors?
>my fellow cars, if we don't accept thousands of imports into our country, the highways will not survive
why did the mercurys discriminate against the volkswagens for wanting girl-parts?
Did you know that the founders of Dodge sued Ford because they owned 10% of Ford's stocks, and Ford wanted to use its profits to pay its employees better instead of putting the money directly into shareholders' pockets?
