Why the FUCK didn't he just take the 7 years? Makes no sense

Why the FUCK didn't he just take the 7 years? Makes no sense.

Why did he make that statement to protect that bitch who left him and ratted him out? Seems out of character from Slippin' Jimmy.

For me its astonishing that people can think that somehow rotting away whole life in the prison at the cost of the tax payers is somehow a "repentance".
He would contribute to the society and pay for his sins a lot more if he took the 7 years option and then start some volunteer shit to actually help people.

Spending rest of the life in prison is a satisfying option only to the feds that can finally say that they caught someone important from the Walt drug empire

>Gene calls Kim, they argue, he asks “why don’t you confess? Why don’t you come clean” (subconsciously hoping she would)
>she does, and he realizes when the prosecutors tell him. He’s not angry, he’s just shocked and begins to think, begins to reminisce of his past and his regrets
>cue the Walter flashback, another time he deflected the question of his regret, the scene fades away into his view outside the plane through the window (he was thinking about that time with Walt)
>it’s here that he starts realizing his true regret involves chuck (specifically, the flashback between them that’s played RIGHT after jimmy confessed, basically spoon feeding “THIS is why he did it”), >and so because Kim confessed, he’ll do the same, he tells Oakley that he’s gonna ‘fuck over’ Kim so that she can be there when he does it so he can show her he’s still Jimmy and that Saul is Gone
Why do speedwatchers still not get it? It was pretty clear, the semantics of “86 versus 7” don’t matter, the point is he’s finally not taking the easy way out, even though he could, and he’s finally stopped internalizing his trauma.

Because he's no longer Slippin' Jimmy... He's... Jimmy McGill... :')

Get off Any Forums Vince, your writing is shit. Out of all the scummy things he has done before all the sudden NOW he regrets it.

yeah, people change their minds, are you retarded?

He literally just wanted to be a real hero and a real human being. I guarantee you a couple of years later he’d be scheming to get back out and would be cursing Kim’s existence

Because it's 2022 and we need to show Americans how women powerful and man bad

You're still posting this shit?

It doesn’t make sense that this immense self reflection and realization would come so quickly and suddenly after almost a decade of degregation into a degenerate scumbag who enjoyed breaking the law. Not even a week before he turns himself in for life he was drugging a man with cancer for his identity.

Convenient that he changed his mind when they had to wrap the show up and not have it be properly fleshed out like a good show would have done.

The last episode he was just about to murder an old lady, now he's a nice guy?

It makes sense to everyone except you. Dumbass tourist.

He didn’t do it to protect her. He did it so she would know the man she fell in love with was still alive underneath the sleazeball character he created and almost became permanently. He was miserable in his life as both Saul/Gene. He’d rather go to jail for life and repair his relationship with Kim than do seven years and be “free” … except not really because he’d still be in a prison of his shallow , pointless existence.

Hes not a nice guy. How is he a nice guy because he feels guilt?

Nice counter argument. Oh wait you don’t have any. Dumbass.

Sorry that not everybody liked your retarded finale that was a child's interpretation of Catholic confession.

"I DO BAD MISS JUDGE" Is not clever writing. You're trying to convince people this is super deep and subversive material about the moral redemption of a complex character with multiple personalities, and it's something a 5 year old would think is too simplistic.

I don't need one nigger.

LMAO bro you're arguing that a television show is unrealistic and getting mad people are calling you retarded for it. Why do brainletts always spam about "muh realism"? Do you guys think it makes you seem smart?

Based on the “time machine” conversations, we know this shit has been eating away at him for a long time. Saul as the super star criminal lawyer / Gene as identity thief / both those were just coping mechanisms so he could keep running away burying his true feelings. He felt guilty about what happened between him and Chuck and heartbroken about what happened between him and Kim.

Ironic. Sperging out and refusing your position is nigger behavior. It’s okay to be wrong, you know.

>You're trying to convince people
No one is trying to convince you of anything. You're fucking seething because people liked a TV show that you didn't like a small child.

It was through the power of terrible writing. The second they recast Jeff I knew this season was unsalvageable.

>I want my show unrealistic. Stop thinking.
And you have the audacity to call others brainlets. Projection.

You mean the same time machine conversations that were shown in the final episode along with the shoehorned about face?

Maybe if that had happened throughout multiple episodes, it would have actually been good.

>almost a decade of a character development completely cut to shreds in 2-3 flashbacks
Yeah okay whatever floats your boat moron.

What if when they chanted Better Call Saul in the prison bus they went "BETTER. RAPE. FAGS" instead. Would Vince Gilligan ever consider that

All TV and film are unrealistic to a certain degree. Only autistic faggots are bothered by this.

everyone gets that. It's still retarded if you scrutinize it with any amount of logic or rational thinking.

He became first started the Saul character to cope after Chuck died because he secretly felt guilty…just like Chuck’s illness started after his marriage fell apart. It’s just a wall to block true feelings. And Jimmy really fell into Saul in the time slip after Kim left him. He’s Saul from the second he wakes and puts his earpiece in, all the way to the second he goes to bed after sex with hookers.

>All TV and film are unrealistic to a certain degree.
No shit? Wow, did you figure that out yourself?
>Only autistic faggots are bothered by this.
More projection. Anyone would be bothered by blatant bullshit especially when the film/show takes itself seriously. Really not a difficult concept. You just hate anyone who tries to poke a hole or point out a retarded plot line and opt to cry “‘muhhh but everything is unrealistic”, *that* is autistic faggot behavior.

Because we wasted 7 years on this shit but it felt like 86 years

fuck you Peter and fuck you Vince

I still appreciate all the stuff with Howard, Chuck etc. The cartel storylines have always been trash though starting with Breaking Bad and the introduction of Gus.
