Becuase they had do die for the future of their trans granchildren

I said it before and I'll say it again, why didn't they just drop them all from a plane behind enemy lines and they could all turn around and attack the bunkers from behind with air support?

why couldnt the jews just fight their own damn war?

Should have waited another year for Russia and Germany to exhaust each other and then conquer the whole continent.

you realize theis would have led to the comple extermination of my family

they did do that in the alternate edition that more closely follows the manga, it's called band of brothers

Yes, and?

fuck of back to Any Forums chud

>Should have waited another year for Russia and Germany to exhaust each other and then conquer the whole continent.
For real, just give the Soviet Union enough supplies to not being defeated but not enough to conquer and control Eastern Europe like they did in the original timeline. The US should have also not have asked the SU to intervene in the East and North Korea would have never had gone Communist.

you do know that air defenses exist right?

Weren't bombers supposed to take out the entire beach? And it just got FUBAR'd because of bad weather

They did. Watch Band of Brothers.

>Why didn’t the eagles just fly them to Mordor?
Because the eagles were fighting for the other side.

why are people ITT pretending that the allies were the only ones with an air force or that they would have had air superiority by default?

Air support was not very accurate. It requires saturation bombing to take out bunkers which isn’t good when you’ve got ground troops in the area. Plus if you drop a Airborn troops behind enemy lines what happens when they run out of supplies? You need to support your forward lines thus establishing a beachhead is necessary regardless.

they did do that, retard

not to mention spending a week bombing the landing site would have obviously revealed it to the germans and allowed them to redirect their defenses there.

They did exactly that, retard. They took out artillery emplacements that were zeroed in on the beach.

The Allies did have air superiority by the time of D-Day, they were basically unchallenged. The other user is right their bombing was ineffective mostly due to weather.

>they could all turn around
why didn't they just do a 360 and walk away
