Xenomorph in the first Alien movie was actually smart

>Xenomorph in the first Alien movie was actually smart
>Xenomorphs in every other movie are just mindless drones. They are basically ants.

Why?

Have you seen the first movie or iust assume horror=deep and made shit up?

Cameron is a hack.

What baffles me the most is that Cameron did the exact opposite with Terminator 2

Overall the alien in the first movie hunted humans like a predator but didn't show any exceptional level of intelligence and by the end of the movie it was already dying like an insect after being too far away from the nest or fulfilling ots purpose. The ones in Aliens had more opportunity to show their cleverness.

If you take elements from Resurrection as canon, then you could argue that genetic memory means that they have a twisted sense of individuality.

>>Xenomorphs in every other movie are just mindless drones.
Not in AvP, aka the second best Alien film.

What is the hive resin made of?

Since it is hinted at that they are bioweapons, I'm willing to believe that they know everything about spaceships and have either the instinct or intelligence to exploit it.

people

absolutely false. xenos have always been smart. alien resurrection shows them at their top intelligence
>kill one of their own to spray acidic blood to melt the floor and escape
>lure the guards into the cage to investigate
>activate the nitrogen trap previously used to harm them, turning the guards into popsicles

>forced evolution??
let's get autistic Any Forums

maybe the lack of guidence and singular nature of the xenomorph forced it to evolve much higher levels of intellegence than an ordenary morph would need

maybe when mayn xenos are togeather the lack of intellegence is a massive bonus because self preservation is less important than acheaving the objective so an abundence of intellegence would lead to lack of survivability for the species even if it increased the viability of the singular organism

so maybe all xenos get super smart when they are alone and more stupid in a swarm

>it is hinted at that they are bioweapons,
It's not, we have no idea about why there are these eggs in the alien ship, it could be food for all we know.

OP BTFO

xeno boogers

stop being so xenophobic

It was supposed to have a lifespan of only a few days, which makes it's use as a bioweapon more apparent, and also only seems to attack sentient life (didn't bother with Jonsey despite ample opportunity). You drop it on a planet and it kills all intelligent life then dies out itself.

That's another movie, the one filtered here

What makes people think the Alien 1 Xeno is smart? It always came off as a trapped animal taking out the crew because it was running on instinct. The xenos in Aliens act more like drones because they have a hive, a queen, and human incubators to protect from the Marines. They come off more like drones because there is a lot of them. It's just a difference of context and setup.

Which makes me think.
Weyland-Yutani found a planet with intelligent life and rich of resources. They didn't tell the earth government.
They wanted the planet but.a war is out of question because it needs resources, is illegal, cannot do it in secrecy at that scale etc.
Enter the Xenomorph.
Now they have means to wipe a population "shame-free".

>ripley says if one ayyy gets to earth everyone will die
>proceeds to kill loads of them after ten minute gun lesson
