True and false. I'll even take Universe bitch. The 3 series together represent the metamorphisis of tv in the 90s to what it is today. SG-1 is a fully serialized, Atlantis is somewhere in between, and Universe is the series as one long plot broken. They are all great.
Also, if you understand history and conspiracy theory, you know its a form of disclosure for a worldwide antidiluvian civ that existed in the age of heroes/mythology. The stargate is the zodiac and its not a warp portal but a gps so that when you are on the water away from sight of land (the metaphorical portal because at that point you can be anywhere and its all the same) using the angles of multiple zodiac signs drawn on your map gives an intersection that is functional GPS.
This user is wrong and also a faggot. SG1 and Atlantis are both great and Universe is not bad if you go into with an open mind. It's got a different feel to SG1 bit has some really great episodes. Furthermore, watch farscape for the REAL late SG1 experience.

yes, as with most sci-fi it starts out kinda weak but its worth sticking with, its probably the last scifi series thats somewhat self-aware and isnt afraid to have fun with its premise, except for the final 2 seasons perhaps.
atlantis isn't that bad either but dont ever bother with Universe, its unfinished and mostly about shitty inter-personal drama between a static cast with a sci-fi backdrop
