so I don’t get it. The red god existed (he kills Renly and resurrects that Brothers with no Banners guy and Jon Snow) but he also doesn’t help Stannis win? what’s the power level of the lord of light?

the dynamic jew duo couldn't write him into the plot because they're no talent hacks so they jsut forgot about him the last two seasons

magic is real but the gods aren't, grrm makes this obvious

he felt like a Dungeons and Dragons character. Sometimes he rolled a good number and sometimes he rolled a bad number. But he eventually had to leave the game because his mom came to pick him up

so why did the magic stop working?

Why did the subplot about Stannis and her fucking to have a son get dropped?

she had a son, it was that shadow monster

because the dynamic jew duo wanted everybody to forget about it

who’s the best character and why is it Oberyn?

They didn't like stannis or anything connected to him. So they wanted to kill him off and make his people look like a moron for burning his daughter for nothing. Then embarass them further by having her light the dothraki weapons on fire only to have them all die, then she just goes and dies in the cold as a useless idiot. There's some storylines they shouldn't have been allowed to handle. And also, grrm is a couple decades behind schedule

they cut out the magic/mystical aspects by the end of the show, which is why it seems to have no point.

Her visions were wrong. The Red God wanted Jon to win. It was only helping Stannis so Stannis could help Jon.

This.

something to do with tax policy

How does it make any sense? A universe with magic but no cosmic or god-like beings. What is magic in ASOIAF then, just a sci-fi physics bending skill?

it's fanfiction mostly
youtube lore video tier

That's stupid. People would be using magic all over the place if you could do it without the approval of a god.

it was a con job. stannis was in the way of jon snow, so he had to die.

She talked to Arya and told her she is the chosen one to killthe ice zombie King

it didn't. stannis' wife cheated on him in the past, so shireen's death wasn't royal blood spilled, thus in vain. eventually stannis would have realized, so his wife took her own life before he found out and she'd have to face him. chuds hated this but i love the tragedy of it.

Unanswered mysteries thread?
Mine is: what was this character's deal?

there’s still a lot of debate about her. She’s either trying to help Dany avert her tragic destiny, or one of the forces trying to lead her into a trap. It’s possibly she’s simply trying to keep her on track to help stop the Others threat, like a useful tool. Grrm crafts all these mysterious figures to be either aligned with fire/light, or cold/darkness. She’s one of the ones from the Asshai/fire axis.

There is a theory that she is Shiera Seastar, a daughter of Aegon the Unworthy, that is alive with the power of magic and is working with her brother-lover Bloodraven (that druid guy bound on the tree that helps Bran) to fulfill some prophecy or shit. She is in the east and he in the west.
