This isnt the first time he's called. Large parts of the series and particularly scenes with Kim are actually being recounted wrongly by mentally ill schizophrenic Jimmy Mcgill. Even large parts of breaking bad turn out to be fantasies he has conjured up in his own mind. Psychologically disturbing.
