These are both great additions to the Alienverse and way better than Alien 3 and Resurrection

100% agree, love the David/creator stuff.

Alright, no, while the premise of both and what they tried to explore was super neat, they completely fucked it up in execution. Alien 3 is weird but not entirely stupid (unlike these two) and while Resurrection is indeed stupid, it's not AS stupid. Especialy Covenant, good god it's like a 5 year old wrote that.

I liked them

He's so cute

Covenant is how always imagined the Xenomorph to look and move.

Faggot

Never seen them. Never will.

Prometheus, yes.

Covenant was a fucking joke, just taking kernels of all previous movies and rehashing them. Absolute shit.

No... Alien 3 is better and Alien Resurrection is more entertaining..

>Prometheus, yes.
Prometheus is tryhard bullshit. It's not half as intelligent as it thinks it is nor are its fans.

Resurrection has exactly 0 (zero) redeeming qualities and should be wiped clean from the canon.

The swimming scene was pretty dope for the time

Resurrection is objectively better than both of those films and to think otherwise is absolute pseudism

There was a better water scene in Aliens with Newt being captured.

it's not quite the same

Agreed, only plebs shit on these

It's exactly the fucking same just more stupid.

one is an underwater chase, the other is a sudden appearance from underwater. It's not the same at all.

The chase (Or more hunt) is there you just don't see it, and it's way more effective.

Nah man it's on a different stage of the hunt, it evokes different feelings.
One (Aliens) plays on your feeling of being hunted. As they're rushing to get to her you don't know if the alien is there or not, you're feeling anxious for her.

In A:R, the hunt is already over. The Alien has already won, it's the next phase, the desperation phase. You know it's coming, you see it, and there's nothing you can do.

Completely different scenes, and for the time I think they nailed the creature's movement in A:R.

Now I'm not saying A:R was a good movie, but that scene was dope.
