The most common form of isekai tho generally involves video game tropes. But they're not as good generally speaking.

I like isekai because it is a comfy familiar setting of european fantasy which I am familiar with but with an asian twist so you get some experiences that you were never expecting. Also it's just nice to escape to a world that doesn't have any of the shitty baggage this one has. It's 90% trash but the 10% that is good is really good and even the trash is still usually enjoyable in a trashy kind of way.
