When I suffered from a paranoid schizophrenic psychosis, I thought Joker was literally about me and how mentally ill people were evil and that everyone was going to laugh at me when I died. I also shouted "I'm Antony Hopkins in the father" too because it felt like I had dementia.
I recommend the butcher boy too. It's about a psycho kid who has delusions of seeing the Virgin Mary and gets called a pig. I don't want to spoil it because the entertaining part is how insane it gets as it goes along. Someone put it on YouTube:
