Why is CGI from 12 years ago better than CGI today?

I hate to say it, but the ONLY explanation is diversity hiring.

Theres no excuse.

Still holds up.

This + companies start cutting corners and not giving a shit to save pennies and dimes to maximize ROI

yeah ok

I think we are hitting an uncanny valley point in VFX where they can look so close to real that our brain only sees the parts that look off.

This would have been good if they didn't use the same de-aging for his IRL self

>tron legacy was 12 years ago
bros...

This is what they have taken from you.
Jimmy Carter of Mars and Forgettoland tanking kills the TR3N.
Pixar directors can't into live action.

then
>hire talent
now
>hire people based on the color of their skin, the color of their hair or the color of the hormone pills they take

back in the days they did the cgi himself. now it is outsourced to cheaper countries

My favorite background noise movie

the noise is all it's got going for it

Still better than today's CG.

>De-age in movie for a movie about a video game
>looks like a game character
Makes sense

And he wasn't Flynn either.

Not exactly. It's outsourcing CGI work to cheap shitholes like India where they half-ass everything.

The deaging was meh, but everything else indeed seems better

diversity hires.
if you try and analyze and fix the problem you'll be fired and socially exiled

They were still trying. Also this

Was in the first scene there.
